What is VacuTur Panama?
Panama is offering the Vacutur Program, which aims to make vaccination easily accessible to un vaccinated travelers visiting from any country in the world. Starting October 1, 2021, the program will allocate 280,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine at no cost to vaccinate 140,000 international visitors. Vaccination locations will mainly be in commercial shopping malls around Panama City for the convenience of the visitors.
The international visitor receiving the COVID-19 vaccination must be at least 18 years old.
All international visitors will be vaccinated with the AstraZeneca vaccine, which requires two doses, at no charge for the visitor, while supplies last.
All travelers interested in receiving the COVID-19 vaccination in Panama will have to process their vaccination and stay only through hotels and travel agencies approved to be a part of this program.
High Risk Countries
International visitors from or that have transited through High-Risk countries in the last 15 days will have to comply with a mandatory 3-day quarantine at the visitor’s expense.
After the quarantine period, the visitor will need to test negative for COVID-19 before leaving quarantine and receiving their COVID-19 vaccination.
Visitors who test positive for COVID-19 at the end of the 3-day quarantine will have to comply with a 14-day quarantine at their own expense.
